Hello... Junior 3D Game Artists

Ready to bring playful worlds to life?

Remote Working

Full-time / 12 month contract

Posted: 4 August 2025

About the role

As a Junior 3D Game Artist at fish in a bottle, you’ll be creating beautiful assets that help bring our games to life. From rocks and props and points of interest, to characters, you’ll help shape immersive, playful worlds that feel rich and full of life.

You’ll be working closely with other artists, developers, and designers to learn how great games are made, and we’ll support you every step of the way. We’ll encourage you to ask questions, explore new tools, and build your confidence in everything from texturing and lighting to optimisation.

Most of your day-to-day work will involve creating and prepping assets in Blender, with opportunities to bring them into Unity and Unreal Engine, depending on the project. You’ll also get the chance to contribute ideas to our projects, client work, and original IP in development.

This is a brilliant opportunity to get hands-on experience in a studio that values creativity to grow your skills in a team that truly wants to see you succeed.

What you'll be doing

Your work will be at the heart of our games, creating magical, immersive experiences that captivate and inspire young players.

  • Concepting and visualising ideas, transforming creative briefs into compelling 3D assets that shape the game’s world.
  • Creating high-quality 3D models, including props, characters and environments that align with the game’s stylised aesthetic.
  • Developing and applying textures and materials, bringing depth, colour, and personality to your creations.
  • Optimising assets for seamless performance across mobile, browser, and other platforms.
  • Collaborating with designers, developers and other artists to ensure a cohesive and visually engaging final product.
  • Working with Unity and / or Unreal Engine to implement and test your assets in-game.
  • Refining and iterating on assets based on feedback, ensuring consistency with the overall game aesthetic.
  • Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices to bring fresh ideas and innovation to our projects.

What we're looking for

  • Great 3D modelling skills, with experience in creating game assets.
  • Experience of using Blender, or similar 3D software.
  • A keen eye for stylisation, with a strong understanding of colour and composition.
  • A collaborative mindset, working closely with a team to deliver a cohesive, polished final product.
  • A portfolio showcasing high-quality, stylised, child-friendly 3D art - this is essential!
  • Bonus points if you have experience working in Unity and / or Unreal.
