Peppa Pig: The New House

3rd Aug 2012

Building on the success of our previous games for Nick Jr (Peppa Pig, Ben and Holly, Poppy Cat), our latest release is another soft learning game for the Peppa Pig brand.

In The New House, players tackle a series of simple tasks build the Pig family a new home. The game is designed to appeal to a relatively wide range of cognitive levels and as such, there were huge challenges in making the game simple enough for the lower age ranges, yet engaging enough for the older audience members.

To that end, we carried out extensive user testing with the target demographic in order to fine tune the experience. Gameplay is built around our innovative interactive episode structure, through which players feel they are acting within an episode of the television show. This passive immersion is a great way of helping young children engage with fundamental educational factors and explore the dimensions of the world through play. We built on this framework with high quality animation and the use of the voice talent cast of the show itself to provide an air of familiarity.

As MD, Justin, put it: “Understanding younger audiences and delivering a game that’s engaging for such a diverse range of developmental stages is a great reward. We’ve done that by making Peppa Pig both simple and exceptional in its quality. That’s a challenge that’s easily underestimated.”

Our other games for Nick Jr include Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom and Poppy Cat: Whale of a Time.
